Re: Teacher Allergic to Child's Hair Products
My mother has sensitivity to nuff things and fragrances trigger her asthma.
Being in the room with a certain scent can set off an attack and it is not a heavy scent either that does it. e.g. The horses 1 1/2 mile away can bother her if the wind is just right.
The teacher may know many things that can trigger her allergies but may not know the universe of what her triggers are. There is one black child in the class who may use products that the teacher has not encountered before. That is where I am agreeing with the writer in the commentary that said a phone call could have resolved the issue.

...joke.
I have had to privately ask certain people to refrain from wearing certain new colognes and deoderant - most have complied. If I find I have to work closely with someone whose fragrance affects me -I request a change in seating. (and my work area does not have windows, period)
