What Do You Call Your Parents?

Ok I was trying to set up a poll but me obviously don't know what me doing.

So how many of you as adults still call your parent 'Mommy and Daddy'? Got into a discussion here at work and they tell me in America <span style="font-style: italic">(broad generalization I am sure)</span> only children call them parents that but when you are grown its 'Mom and Dad'....

So what oonu call oonu parents? (it doesn't have to be any of the above either)

I call them Mom and Dad most of the time. I have a couple of pet names for them too.

In times of high stress, be it about me or them, I have noticed I revert back to mama and daddy.

what's her point?

all of my friends (born and grow in jamaica) still call their parents mommy/daddy

the jamerican and american people dem probably call dem parents mom/dad when them reach a certain age yes

I call my Mom <span style="font-weight: bold">Mor </span>Swedish for Mother or by her first name. Her husband I dont call him anything, hey you if he is not close enough to speak to and I need to get his attention.

me... Mamma and Daddy... all mi big ole 50 odd year old brother and sister sey Mamma and Daddy. I have friends in their 60s (Jamaicans) and they call their parents Mommy and Daddy same way... no change. Surprisingly, my American friends, I call their parents Mom and Dad as they do.

She was just saying it was childish and she didn't know any grown people who said that, so I said its a cultural difference because thats what we call our parents in Jamaica.
