got suspended from school today


one week to the day since school start and dem send him home for fighting on recess \o/


he spent the last hour at the kitchen table writing "I will keep my hands to myself"

now he is cleaning his room

Bandit!! I hope they sent home the other kid too.....one kid cannot fight. I use to tell my little brother (there is a ten year difference between us) don't hit first but anybody hit yu lick out dem (fill in the blanks)

mi seh mi gwine amend daddy policy...but di fight back gwine depend on di circumstance.

example: mi had a pikney few years back that it neva seem to phase har when di oddah kids used to run dem mouth about who and who dem was gonna tump dung. it was the most unusual thing cah pikney usually nu back down when a next kid threaten fi lick dem down.

so one day mi just ask har what it was that made har no get phase when di rest ah har peers seemed to get bringle. you know what she said?

Nuh mek di school call mi for nuttin whe not good

The school has a no-tolerance policy for physical violence as they should.
That boy is there to learn, and nuh fi let other pickeny mash up im education over foolishness

IMO (for most cases) he should walk away!

here - if there is a fight - both kids get suspended - regardless (and the teacher never see anything)

one incident of bullying - abu got thrown in the garbage can i called the police

next incident of bullying (abu is the smallest kid in his class) - i asked the school district for their bullying policy and how it was being implemented - they choked - no suspension for my child's self defense
