Little children who curse...

So I am in the supermarket yesterday and heard this what I am guessing is a three year old or so cursing at another child with the f bomb and worse. Not the first time I've come across this and I am wondering if children seem to be cursing at younger and younger ages these days. And when it is at a social gathering the parents always seem to say...<span style="font-style: italic">&quot;I don't know where he is getting that kind of language from&quot;</span>

Is anyone else noticing this ? And how should parents handle it ?

I never use the F word

well i know a lil two year ole just come back from JA couple months now and her favorite word is BC. and the funny thing is she knows wat context to use it in. this was her first trip to JA too. she no ramp fi tell u fi move ur BC. kinda cute but not really

Well!! up until bout six or so I used to swear on par with a trucker or sailor they say. I never heard swearing at home!! guess I liked the attention/shocker factor it brought. I would wait for family gathering or out in public to embarass dem baxide no punishment with the wooden spoon on my baxide worked.

Matterfact, am told at the end of the swearing I would sitck out my rear and say bring on the wooden spoon...... and my granmere used to lay the licks on thick on my rear. One day she grabbed me by my hair at home and washed my mouth out with soap until I gagged....no more swearing.

Even though am laughing now it is not funny to hear little kids like that swearing

I tried hard to resist posting this.....know it not funny but I heard a little three year ole in jamaica at some mall in halfwaythree, let some jamaican badwerd rip....mi sey I forgot wey I was going totally taken up with her and dem jamaican badwerd....mi sey

During my early years we lived near Cross Roads in Kingston. My father was starting his car repair shop at the back of our house. I learned a few choice words from the mechanics. At the dining table one evening, I asked my mother to &quot;Please pass me the RC chicken.&quot; My mother simply turned to my father and glared at him - he was laughing so hard nearly spitting out his food. We moved out of the city not long after.

My Mom used to cuss when she was VERY mad, but only then, and we knew we better stay away when she was cussing
Never did I repeat the words as a child, I knew better than that

Now that I am grown, I do find myself being the same as my Mom in that respect. I rarely cuss, but when I get to a certain point of pissivity &lt;-- The F bomb let loose... I try to control this urge as much as possible, because I don't believe cussing is good no matter how old you are.

I think the best thing parents can do is teach by example, because as much as many of us don't want to grow up to be our parents, we often do...
Our children are listening to every word we say...

Yep. And she didn't punish me for that. But one day I go kissteet at my teacher and was sent home Mi get one piece a bahining dat day from mi maddah!!
