Child Care Question

So I understand that when a parent makes the decision to keep a kid out/or is late picking a kid up that the parent is responsible for payment, but is that the case when it is the other way around?

The case is whatever the institution's policy is as set forth in the registration materials.

Usually if you don't show up you are still responsible for payment. If the center is closed (on a day not previously set forth in agreement) due to an act of god mi nuh think dem refund that either.

So wi a get a likkle dusting and mi just get email notification/text that Hunter school closing early due to bad weather. His fee soon due and mi a wonder if mi should deduct the money cah is them closing.

I guess like when school close for "snow" days the parents responsible for alternate care ... you don't really get any compensation. I would call them they may be willing to accept adjusted fees. Since nothing no close hereso because of weather I haven't experienced that.

Depends on the child care facility u have the child(ren) in.

I've been to ones where you pay to hold the child's place no matter. They could be missing from school for a month, but you still have to pay.

I've also had it where if even 1 day missing, they credit you the day or deduct it from your next payment.

i am not sure what i expected, but mi was just shocked when i got the text/email. i planned on going to get him since my school (bakrah) was closing early, but they scheduled to close earlier than i was getting off and then the eediat driver them if it wasnt for di current mr ilp sister...it end up that it was regular time mi reach fi pick him up

Mi gwine look ova the contract them cah mi nu memba any statement about payment when is them close.

well the norm is to follow the public school closing (usually)

mi nuh know of any where dat credit parents when dem close

Mi have regular sitter in home, 10 pack of days with the school after school, and when dem nah work or open, bakrah have emergency backup care AND mi still manage fi get sheg and haffi stay home.
