Why some schools still not getting the seriousness of bullying

So this boy has been bullying my niece and others from last year. Complaints made to the school, school does nothing. One parent pulled her daughter in January.

Yesterday, bullyboy hit my niece, she gave him a good punch and floored him. School suspend her for 5 days.

The kids all told the assistant principal and teacher that the boy hit first but only my niece got punish.

My brother made heads roll because when they refuse to address the issue and try to brush him off yesterday him just start call the school board, congressperson, everybody.

That's when they reverse the suspension to inschool for my niece and out of school suspension for the boy.

Why, why do they wait until things escalate nip it in the bud

put it in writing is what I'm learning....from the first incident, send an email, instead of calling to talk about it.

the school here seems to be pretty pro-active. but i don't know how the middle school will be

mi remember when this girl in first grade was taking likkelgen lunch from her lunchbox (after di likkel mampy nyam off her lunch and nyam/drink the free milk and food leftover from free lunch), the 2 teachers in the class tell mi bout

how dem is friends and try brush it off as nothing

and even after mi explain seh my child is picky eater suh she only gwine eat wah mi pack dem still a smile wid mi mi tell dem seh nuh mek mi haffi volunteer fi cafeteria cause dem nah guh like it and mi a guh email all the parents in the school and scandal dem

My brother emailed the school had meeting last year with the other parent(girl who got pulled) they said the girls were been sensitive

They are 8th graders.

My brother lives in GA...with all the kids committing suicide and stuff on the news you would think these school officials would wake up and get proactive.

Funny you mention this Ms Exced because this past January NJ signed the nation's toughest anti bullying law in the nation. Georgia has a law that was updated recently.

Has your brother contacted the PTA (or does he have enough parents email addresses) for a mail blast. Get the parents on board and the school will do something.

My brother has everyone jumping, I don't know who him nuh call.

They suppose to have a meeting next Monday with parents, school officials, congressperson etc.

i told Elijah last week after his fight, next time the kid try to bully him, make sure when the school calls me, make sure they can tell me Sharib in the Emergency Room.
I told Elijah when he hit him lay one in his jaw corner to knock him out, then when he hit the ground,,lay the boots on him

cuz this Sharib kid like bullying and he need a good Shyt kicking
