Rich yes i put them out of his reach ... I try my best not to punish for anything that i haven't laid out the rules for. So yes he was told many times the toys have a place and if they are out of place especially if they pose danger to anybody in the house they are goners the bad when you take them away is like him don't even miss them so I just do it cause I don't want it to look like I make empty threats.

Confession the party no cancel yet ... is only a big threat that if him make mi have to raise mi voice etc and leaving him tings all bout then it gone ... I was told that when he got to my sis this morning he did not even look at the TV and sad nice and didn't have his things all over the place (so I'm sure everything got to school). My sis asked him if he was on punishment and he wouldn't tell her. Just wondering if he is just acting his age and I am expecting too much of him.

But the straw was the chain and the broken thing which could possibly have caused further damage even though I told him not to touch it.

well i have no experience with children but GOOD GOD MAN DI BWAY IS ONLY S-E-V-E-N YEARS OLD!!!!!!!! AND DID I FORGET TO MENTION HE IS A B-O-Y.

not exactly sure wat kind of parent i will be but i &quot;think&quot; i will be the type that like ILP say have 10 rules and everything else i will just treat it like hair....it will grow back

BTW Twiney if Adale does not get a birthday party i don't want to talk to you ever again. yuh can ground him for life and never buy him another toy for all i care but please the boy deserve him dam party. you only turn 7 once

I dont have a lot of rules ... basically respect other ppl and them things, dont do anything that can cause hurt to anybody (like the likkle things that out fi make mi slide and broke mi saline) ... and mi have strong feelings bout education and responsibility so those are the things I enforce maybe him need likkle more strictness ...an mi never grow up with party and it never kill me so if him do miss one that is dollars in mi pocket and no likkle gremlins (him and company) runnings round mi house.

Telling him it's not a toy and that he's not allowed to play with it is like waving a flag in front of a bull...

This is what I found to have worked: If I did not want the kid to touch something whenever he felt like it, I would let him touch it <span style="text-decoration: underline">while I was installing it</span> (or whatever). I would make the whole experience very 'ordinary' and 'forgetful'. That would take away the mystery and intrigue of 'not touching' and he would move onto exploring other things....

As for putting away the toys: That's a battle you will <span style="text-decoration: underline">never</span> win. EVER. So give in, gracefully, and move the toys yourself. It'll save you gray hairs heart failure.

i think its a good choice....very high impact with little effort. </div></div> Miss Sarah has a birthday party today an hour away in Mass and I cancelled that bad boy because for three evenings in a row I told her to clean up her toys and she told me flat out she wasn't going to do it. I made up my mind that I was not going to yell and jack up my blood pressure so this time she knows I mean business. So yesterday I picked her up from school without saying anything about her mess and she said she was ready to clean it up now, because she knows the party is today. I told her she lost that chance because she was not gonna be home and neither was I.

little kids should not be deprived of their special day for the tings that Adale has allegedly done.
