Rich yes they pay and pay well too... Well at least out here ...But based on what he has been doing in school so far he doesn't have the foundation for the engineering careers .. If he's thinking of going that route I would suggest taking the rest of the sciences ...

Ya, he only has physics. And seems more mathematically inclined, hence finance or actuarial. He also does music production in his spare time and though I have been told he is good, I want him to study something that can get him a job. Music production wont get him out of my house any time soon if you know what I mean.

he also used to love animation, but the opportunities locally are very limited.
