I have shower this weekend for a special young friend and would like to get her something very useful.

The memories are fading fast but...

At the time I think the WIPES WARMERS and the DIAPER DISPOSAL units were my favorite and most used items

eta: what jazz seh. di diaper pail works wonders

also, get her a professional nanny fi a few hours (esp fi when di novelty wear off and she no longer inundated with helping hands). the going rate here at a reputable agency is $15/hr

I got Nanny services....from my mom.

No seriously though....I was born not being able to function without proper sleep. Mommie use to say when mi was growing that mi "tun fool." So the idea of sleepness nights with new baby would have meant injured and/or dead baby....so mommie gifted me her help, so that lack of sleep was not an issue.

but i have to agree that in the early days i coulda use a lot of help with sleep, housework etc. ...gift cerfiticate is a good idea as well...but i guess sometimes when is not big money u putting on it it u doan think it look as good as a "real" gift ..but every mickle mek a muckle and all that.

I wish they had the wipes warmer when Rich was born. Cold wipes is no fun in the winter

i had the diaper genie and use it for a couple of weeks and then after that mi couldn't bother, mi use regular garbage

my cheap solution to that is to put the container of wipes next to the radiator

it nice and warm eseeh and so moist

yuh know how the cold one dem feel cold and dry up like wah

I still buy wipes to this day, cause it handy for nuff things like quick wipe face for likklegen and makeup removal on the run for me or mi stick them in ziplock bags for mi handbag

Okay mi not babysitting as I an I noh like newborns and shi still live wid har modda so no housecleaning needa.

So I have narrowed it down to

some desatin (diaper cream) and a gift card

or desatin and a bouncy chair.

but like how time short it will prolly be a dat place gift card

i love love love my diaper genie but if mi did eva look into the cost of the refills before mi buy it meeda never buy it. $9 fi it and these days it only last about 2wks ish.

bottle warmers are good...even if she is breastfeeding she will still use it.

to be practical its best to get her something that she will use 4 or more months down the road. she has probable been shopping for herself plus other peeps will give her stuff. u could get her some weaning bowls or sippy cups. ...

she will likely get loads of blankets etc but trust me its never too much. plus its always nice to put a face to the blanket each time u use it. stuff animals are also good for that.

one ting she wont turn down is a box of diapers
