decision...a mother is asking for the right to euthanize her two severely disabled children...they can literally do nothing..not even eat...

If they are not suffering or in severe pain.. I would have to think long and hard as to if I were doing it for myself or for them..

I think it would always be both. This child could live a long life, or the parent(s) could die suddenly. As a parent one of my concerns/worries is, what would happen to my child if I should pass.

With a healthy child, a life insurance policy and agreement with a relative or friend would be sufficient. With an extremely sickly child, you may be able to obtain a childcare commitment, but you will worry about the toll it will take on the care giver....that is if you can find someone to accept the responsibility. Yes you will worry even with a healthy child, but of course that concern grows exponentially with a sick child.
