AT&T cell license still in doubt
The fate of the third cellular license sold by the government to AT&T two years ago could be known by the end of the month.
Technology Minister, Phillip Paulwell, says the terms of the contract need to be clarified since Singular has taken over AT&T's operations.
However he says he is hopeful that the licenses will be implemented according to the original contract.
Meanwhile, Mr. Paulwell says he is reviewing the taxation on computer software. He was responding to questions raised by Opposition counterpart Karl Samuda regarding the General Consumption Tax levied on these items.
Mr. Paulwell said he was seeking to implement measures that would mitigate any burdensome taxes on new technologies that might prevent expansion and growth of local businesses.
