Looking for a nanny

Hi all,

My brother lives in So. Calif. and is looking to hire a nanny for his two children 5 yrs and new born. I've told him rather than hiring someone from Mexico he should consider jamaica. Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to go about this and how much a decent salary would be. I have a particular woman in mind that I've stayed in touch with over the years of our traveling to JA but am hesitant to talk to her until I get more info. Any info, suggestions, or ideas are appreciated.

Well for 2 children...includig a newborn....and ONLY nanny duties...that is ...separate from housekeeping duties....450-500 per week seems fair....but this was the going rate years ago...so adjust the weekly rate for cost of living ...and you have got a figure...
