ive tried to search contacts ov jamicans craftsmen pon deh web without success!!
please,if yu know contacts of ja craftsmen or co operativ of craftsmen pon the island , let mi kno that...coz i need it for my exportation bizness and build "equitable trade" between France and Jamaica.
like that mi can meet them nex time ill come in ja.

unfortunatly,ive found no adresses ,phones numba or sumting like that pon jampro!!ive send dem a message,but no risponse at this time..
so if yu kno jamaican peoples(craftsmen or women) who use to do:sculptures,necklaces...
let me kno the places i can meet dem...
ill refuse all forms of slavery or forced labour,including the child work..i need jamaican's culturalproducts of quality,to respect the social standards established by intrnational labour organization

Hi rapo, I think if you also visit in the trip reports side you might get more responses, some of our jamaicaholics over there know of crafts men from visiting the island on numerous occasions, getting the contact info might be harder as they dont know you but if you have a e-mail address I am sure something can be facilitated.

No sich thing. At one time there was a gtoup of foundry operators that attempted to establish one andf the legal cost was prohibitive.

there was a craft place on the main coast road ( just east of the junction witht he brown's town road)in Discovery Bay....i seem to recall it being some kind of coop

haven't passed that way for a couple years so not sure if its still there

No it was a government tun organization. It was a division of the then Ministry of Social welfare or somthing lke that,whatever they change the names of the minisitry,mostly headed by Eddie.
there are many co-operatives in the country,bo-operative banks etc,agricultural coops,and of course the famous Walkers Woiod Co-op rgar manufacture the spices,nut no trademen/women co-op.
somthing about the Unions,that are aligned to the political parties,that have coontrol of all organized workers,or most of it.
remember what Trevor Monroe got for starting hois union?
