Does anybody on here know how the job force is in Virginia around the Danville/Chatham/Martinsville areas?
My Mom and her husband sold the family home about 4 years ago and bought a spread up in the boondocks of Virginia. They live in a small town that did not make the map. My family are now officially "Country Bumpkins" who don't venture out much but in the garden, seeing as they are retired. They remind me of the Beverly Hillbillies who moved to the country instead. Anyhow, my Mom wants the 6 of us still in Georgia, to move there and build our homes on the land surrounding the new famly home. I have entertained the idea, but I am far from retiring age and would require a decent paying job. I just don't know much about the area and how easy or difficult it is to get a job.
My Company has opened some offices in VA but I am sure it is nowhere near there. Population is not so great. It takes 40 minutes to come out of the boondocks into the city, so commuting to where it is, is not on my agenda.
