EFJ funds study to halt erosion of Negril shoreline
The Environmental Foundation of Jamaica has approved a loan of just less than six million dollars to fund a study of the Negril shoreline.
The study, which is in its final stage, is aimed at identifying tangible measures to halt the erosion of the Negril shoreline in Westmoreland.
Acting Minister of Industry and Tourism, Dr. Wykeham McNeill, says the Negril Beach Restoration Committee is in the process of selecting a suitable vendor to carry out the work.
Once identified, the consulting agency will have nine months to complete the assignment.
