Who knows... I am planning to return to Jamaica and do business. Get involved in the financial and real estate sectors in Jamaica but, as you know, when yuh land a JA many seem to feel to demself seh a santa clause land wid a big red bag full a money fi dish out like confetti.

I would like to know who on these boards are into the financial sector and real estate sectors; i.e Financial Advisor, Mortgage Advisor, Banking, Investment, Insurance, Government, Property Developers, Building Construction, Architects, Surveyors etc.

Mi a try form a link wid people mi exchange views and discussions wid pon dis board who know what a clack a strike a Jamaica.

respect Morpheous, I am in the financial services sector, but not in JA but america. I am slowly buying land in JA as that is home and will be again at least part of the year in the future. I also put a call out couple months back for some of us in the diaspora to link and just start reason and keep each other in the know. Had couple of people link mi so if you serious bout dis, link me up and mek we start even one news letter fi keep people in the know. Nuff on yah would like to work wid each other, just dont know where to start.

Respect... That's what I'm talking about. We need to network across the ocean.. Canada, USA, UK and Jamaica.

The way to get in at the top level is definately to join forces and seek out investments in each country with people like you and I who have knowledge of the their respective "home" sectors.

The knowledge of financial happenings and the system where you live would be your domain since you live and work in the system there; the same would hold true for those Jamaicans in Canada, USA, UK and Jamaica. I see a whole load a potential here.

Anyway, I would be interested in such news letter updates. I could even go one further and suggest a better more sophicated system that I myself could implement for the benefit of the "members".

I think coolbeans live in Jamaica, so we should reach out to her and others who live a yard and want to be kept in the loop if we come across anything of interest. The format that was put to me was a blog type format since that free and have the interested people read and contribute monthly, maybe even invlove x-man since a fi him site dis and link the two site dem. OK, that's sounds good. I was thinking of a proper web site though with login features for members with a DBMS that give relevant members privilges to place and update articles on the site. It would be a central source which would be easily managed by a Content Management System... all of which I can design and code from scratch. Maybe this would better be suited when the newsletter subcribers grow to a very large number outgrowing a blog type media in the future.
