- Find a job and keep it for 5 years
- Find a partner, marry, tek out a mortgage on a house
- Have children
- Maintain a stock a valuables for your testament
- Save for the children

dep on what yuh a do...mi know ppl who so tied to dem business dat dem cyaan budge...an mi know pplwho have regular job dat can move at a minutes notice..wedda is golf or school trip or whatever.


but what i was really asking is if the $$ numbers show dat more people acheive financial sucess/freedom thru self employment rather than thru regular employment.

yes the statistics will show (mi might haffi guh do likkle digging fi numbers) that self employed are generally better off financially than smaddy who work fi others

yuh also haffi membah seh dem have all kinda personality types and smaddy weh tie to dem business is wah mi call a control freak [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

and when mi seh self employed mi not referring to smaddy weh have one likkle shap/or sinting and barely a bruk even..cause if dem barely a survive might as well lack dung the business..

Pay cash for house instead of taking out mortgage...if you can afford it. Investing in real estate.

How about keeping job for more than 5 years?

I have more personal and financial freedom working for someone else. Small business owner...been there, done that and did not like it. My husband has worked for himself for 40 yrs and said he could never work for someone else...but he's an old radical and have to rule his domain.

i figure this would be a requirement to get the mortgage after taking up work for the first time. it is meant 5 yrs at least
