Out of curiousity, i was reading about the "entrepenuer" kimani robinson story about how he started RE TV.
http://www.jamaica-gleaner.com/glean...business1.html,
the line in the article which caught my eye was..
RETV began with an equity investment of $30 million with the major shareholders comprising of Kimani Robinson (60 per cent), Peter Bovell (director, 20 per cent) and Paul Scott of Mussons (director, 20 per cent).
now 60% of 30million is 18million dollars, and kimani back then was what...23-25 years of age.
i dunno abuot you but where does someone in their mid twenties(who has always lived in ja) get 18million JA to play with in the first place.
It just seems there is very little known about his background.
I did hear he had a company called IMEX, but looking at their portfolio, i dont really see any ground breaking companies that would have allowed that serious generation of capital.
...maybe im wrong...
but really what am i missing here.
