The Chinese have taken the largest amount of people out of poverty, in the shortest period of time, in history. They save 43% of their income, and they are sitting on trillons of dollars of foreign reserves and treasury bonds.

Look to the east, for the coming of a new king!

I think it has proven out. They are very populous countries and cannot depend on aid to feed their people; they have to use creditable development strategies to manage their economy. </div></div> Every country want to do that,but not every country has the abillity to get out from under the influence of the world Bank, and that is the difference.
they have some leverage and they use it to take control of their econoimies, aand the rest is history.

That is not to say that the west will not try to rein them in, but for the time being. they are it.

savings is not the panacea as the are making it uot to be. china credit is so underdeveloped,that if it ever ever gey even as close to Jamaica's primitive credit policy,they won't be able to supply th edemand,for products.
savings rate is actually used to restrich th egrowth of the Chinese economy.

They bloated their asseys and was called onit. they hav ebeen trying tioget back to theior old self when the housing bubble burst. Berkshire even invested sime good funds in it recently. and that is the miost succesfull investor.

I don't carry a torch for the Chinese political system, but they are only doing now, what the former colonial powers did in the past.
The Chinese have a communist government, with a capitalist economy. If the former colonial powers were embarking on their own &quot;Great Leap Forward&quot; in the moderm era, i've no doubt that they would happily adopt such a system, if it resulted in attaining such a level of development such as the Chinese are enjoying.
