Thiefing coworker

There have been a number a incidents at work in which cash has been stolen from purses.
Things are being charged to peoples credit & debit cards (while the card remains in the owners purse). Most times the purse has been in a locked office or closet.so it is some one with a master key. (the nurses, administration, security & behavior team all have master keys. Some of the custodial staff must as well.

There was a case last year in which a credit card was stolen from a locked office.

There has been one woman seen by staff and on the security videos coming and going from these offices. (the same woman was the suspect last year) There are too many incidents for her presence to be a coincidence. but, they probably can not really prove it was her.

Luckily, I have not been a victim. but, I am astounded. This is a person that I would never suspect . I have always gotten along well with her.

I know a person is innocent till proven guilty but I'm having real trouble with this. I had already agreed to let her drive with me to a meeting the week after next. I hated to do it but I have asked the 3rd person who will be in the car to hold my purse.

I also know she knew I was watching her when she was getting water in my area today.

My thing is i would want to box her down if I saw her with her hand in my purse (which I now lock in a cabinet) I used to just leave it on my desk because I lock the door when I go out.

The grapevine has it that they have taken away her master key while the investigation is going on.

ETA I have a master key. I would be HIGHLY UPSET . if I was a suspect (I am not)

JD, I hope she is not being judged incorectly, I detest a thief especially someone that is friendly with you. I once had a friend who stole from my home, mi jus go ar house go tief it bak.....brite and do her some thing wey I wone even badda poad pon here....cho just ask me. I think though some people who steal is a mental condition cause she na really need it. totally turned me off

I also hope that she is not being wrongfully accused. But, there seem to be too many instances of her being seen coming in or out of a locked area where things are later found to be missing.

Catch the thief red handed! There are small dye packets used to catch a thief. Even 20 years ago after several items and cash started missing from a locker room at work, one guy was caught after a potential victim put the dye packets in his stuff. I don't know where you get them, but it is absolute proof!
