Parents arrested for strapping kids to hood of car

FORT WAYNE, IN (WPTA/FOX) – Police arrested parents for strapping their four kids to the hood of a car during a liquor run.

Police took the couple into custody Monday after witnesses reported seeing them tie the children to the top of the car in a liquor store parking lot.

The man reportedly drove his kids - ages 4, 5, 6 and 7 - and the woman three blocks to the store.

The father has been arrested for drunk driving and may face more charges.

The mother was questioned by officers who also called the Department of Child Services.

All of the children were reportedly unharmed.

You know the horrible part is that they found out that only one KID belonged to the Female in the Car and the Male driver was the boyfriend of the female in the car.

Three of the kids belonged to someone that the Female knew who she was babysitting for and when the Police took them back home all the mother said was that she was not aware

Trus I would have gotten a charge had they been mine... WTH

Was a reason given? Not that anything they say would be logical, I am just curious to know why someone thought this would be a good idea.

Even with a small car, piling them all in the back seat without seat belts would be a better option.

Yeah, I could see how being strapped to the hood of piece of metal with high temperatures would be fun. The possibility of falling off is an extra bonus.
