for those who start, how it going suh far ?

everything seems to be going fine so far


public school here in nyc was/is a nightmare \0/. Parents showed up with kids at their zoned schools only to be turned away and sent to other schools ( due to overcrowding). So the poor kids didn't even know where they were going to school. The first day of school is stressful enough without all of that. I don't know why the parents weren't actively looking for alternatives over the summer break

What alternatives them coulda find Gen? Maybe them just cant afford private. Not sure what other options y'all have up there though

We've been back to school for a while. ( 4 weeks i think) things going well *knock on wood*....LB has a male teacher this year which seems to be working out really good for him.....and his two other friends from last year in the same class as well ...so he's happy.

BB has had mostly standardized testing since back to school..so not a whole lot of homework or classwork..but the transition to 7th not as hard as it was coming from Elem to Middle last year... he seems to have settled in really well.

BB reading up a storm..so it's only fitting that his home room teacher is his reading teacher , LB is following his example to a lesser degree...is like pulling teeth to get him to settle to do it after homework, but he loves doing it right before bed.

Work nuh really ramp up yet tho, so is the quiet before the storm

so far bags are packed, baking patty fi lunch, showers are taken

girlkia bff dem all on another bus round the carna so she a plan fi jim screechie hop pon de bus wid dem.. we will see how it goes..

our bus stop in front of the house but a chroo she really cyan stand 2 a de girl dem she want to be wid ar friends who not in her classes this year so mi gwine low ar

Have been back for almost 3 weeks. So far so good. I have a few more thinkers this semester And them really seem interested in the literature that I've assigned. Only thing....mi have one boy that creeps me out. He comes to class...doesn't say anything, to anyone. He just follows me with his eyes. He takes no notes, nothing. Just sits there. When class over he gets up and walks out.

Just graded a test of his....mi had to give him a 100%. It was on point
Mi boss seh im is the next unibomber.

him may deh pon di autism spectrum and just not great in social settings but can clearly absorb the material.
