Ascordiing to my utility company i use 60 odd gallons of water each day!!

i am seriously thinking i should go to a coin laundry and bade every other day! it is kinda eye opening to see how much of a resource hog two people can be.

Kia (i know you are the resident greeny) any tips? I figure with watering garden in the summer, this will get worse.

is the nanny doing her family laundry while u are work?
using the dishwasher uses less water than washing by hand - load the dishwasher
little guy into potty training, he may be ahm, checking out the toilet

since you on the left coast you know the rest of the deal
low flo shower heads
wash laundry when you have a full load
dont leave water running

get a rain barrel for the garden

well 60 gallons doesn't sound a like a lot..regular flush use about 3 gallons...do some dishes a load of laundry ..a couple ppl bade and 60 gallons done

I will try to find a site that can maybe show average usage for a family my size.

after looking at kia list and thinking and talking it through, I realize a few changes I can make.

I still insist on washing all of alex's dishes by hand. that will haffi change I guess.

I also give him a bath every other night. but is a bath and mi normally full up his big tub.

as for the nanny doing her laundry here - she says she hasn't so I will take her word for it.

Richie, mi used to bade him every night but mi wud feel guilty if mi too tired and cudden dweet. so mi juss decide she every other night was good enough. him also have a mild case a eczema so di dry skin ting would get worse (mi tell myself). him nuh reach di roll round in mud stage yet so di grime factor is low

from what i see a low flow shower head is about 2.5 gallons per minute. you have a couple peopel takign long showeres and it adds up

I got charged for 8,000 gallons on my last bill (think i'm reading it right)

how FT got her daily usage? Just divide by 30?

Never mind: on the bill it says days in cycle :32

so i guess daily usage is : 250

So I'm even more of a resource hog than FT

i think you supposed to cut that in half because they charge you coming and going.
