Learnt to cook at age 6.

I taught myself, though my mother likes to take the credit.

Learnt how to make rice. Properly.

Cooked for my dad and younger siblings.

My son had a mad minute (age.. about 9, )when he wanted to be the next great chef. However, he didn't want to be taught, but I had to suffer through his experiments. Did he 'learn' anything??? dunno...

Who taught you? Mother and cookbook.

What did you make? Fudge, brownies, cakes, cookies, muffins, jello, lemonade - from recipe the cookbook burgers, hot dogs, smoked meat, sandwiches, pork chops (don't eat pork now), lamb chops, chilli, chicken (including cutting up a whole chicken). Learned the rest in home etc starting at age 11:00 including how to do a proper tea service. Jamaican dishes I learned later.

How many people did you cook for? desserts, chicken, pork chops, lamb chops for the whole family, everything else for myself

- age 8 - pancakes (grandmother taught him)
- age 9 - grandmother gave him cookbook - cakes
- aged 10 - cooking lessons every Friday night from me - chicken, steak, burgers, rice, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti, meat balls, Chilli, potatoes

didn't really learn - never had to - until I lived in a women's residence going to school (17) and figured one striking muffin per day wasn't cutting it.
