Graduation Season

Whose graduation are you attending this year? From Pre-school? Kindergarten? High School? College? JAMAL?

This weekend, along with her parents and one grandparent, I will see my niece graduate from high school and on her way to Ivy League school with full scholarship. Both parents products of Kingston primary schools, high schools, and UWI graduates. To think that none of her four grandparents from rural Jamaica graduated from high school... yes, I will be there ... no doubt bawly bawly like MGee

I am going to the convocation ceremony for a member of my team who is in a wheel chair and will cross the stage to get her Phyiscal Education degree.

She took off her National Merit Scholar stole by the time I took this photo. Medal is for top 10% in her class of 400. Each cord represents academic excellence in subjects and activities - she got math, science, language arts, Spanish, history, editor of school paper, community service, and mi figget what else. She got academic scholarship. She is off to college in the Fall majoring in ABM ... anything but Math

She didn't like sports in high school but is now showing interest in rowing in college.
