We ditched the diapers cold turkey

finally a light at the end of this tunnel.
Last Monday I decided to resume my " no pressure I'd it happens it happens" method of potty training. She was diaper less in the morning then diapered to go out in the afternoon and wore one the rest of the day.

Monday while lying in bed I got a revelation to rahtid. The child is ready but I am not being consistent. I decided that as she wake the next day I was gonna put panties on and leave them on till bed time.

Today is day 6 and we doing awesome. First day she had 4 accidents , since then she only have two a day. Number twos.

We had our first outing yesterday and I was so worried. She had a party to attend so we went to the mall to get a gift. Just as I was about to pay she say she wants to pee. Mi run wid har and we made it yay.

I sent her off to party with grandma with several change of clothes and undies plus diapers in her bag. Grandma brought her back to me dry a chips. No accidents. Yay.

Last night she made a big fuss about not wanting to wear diaper to bed. Lol. Then wen she wake dis mawning mi find har diaper less and she tell me she want pee. She still gonna need diaper or plastic lined training pants at nites and I know we gonna have lots more accidents but I don't think I need to buy ne more diapers.

Do you use these at night?

No I am too cheap. I use just the regular diapers. U get more for less. After I go thru wat I have now iam am going to see if I can get away with plastic pants.

I recall using the pull ups during the transition but they are more expensive than diapers....you're right about that.

No accidents yesterday and none so far today... Unless u count wen she lock mi out the bathroom (for the second time today) and somehow trip on the stool or something then come out with her dress wet. Not sure if she drop or jus peed on the dress. After dat incident she stop insisting on going alone so I guess dat tek care a itself real fast.

Sounds like she really wants to be independent. Very nice.
