Plantain Porridge...

sorry for bothering you all - I am looking for a simple recipe for plantain porridge. I actually had it before from this site, but on trying to search I find 200 entries ... none of which are what I'm looking for (well - none that I looked at!)

The one I am looking for is simple, it doesn't call for canned milk or flour... just plantains, water, coconut milk, cinnamon, vanilla... etc.

I am just looking for the measurements. G2 I think you gave it to me a while ago.

Serves two.

Green Banana or Plantain Porridge

2 green bananas/1 Plantain,

peeled

2 1/2 cups water

4 tbsps. skimmed milk powder,

mixed

1 tsp. margarine

3 tbsps. brown sugar

1/4 tsp. salt

1 tbsp. vanilla

METHOD

Grate the banana or plantain and beat in 1/2 cup water until there are no lumps. Bring the remaining water to a boil and add the grated banana or plantain mixture. Stir vigorously, lower the heat and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Stir in the skimmed milk, margarine, sugar, salt and vanilla. Serve hot. Serves two.

wondering why dem use skim milk <span style="font-weight: bold">powder</span>?

anyway mek me know how it come out (but is ongly me one in the house would drink it..suh me caan even bother)
