A couple weeks ago I received two packages a bammy. I decided to prepare some for dinner last night. I read the package and the instructions suggested soaking in milk, water or pineapple juice.
I didn't have any pineapple juice at home, and have never used it for soaking bammy, but the idea aroused my taste buds.
The cooking instructions said after soaking the bammies could be fried or oven baked until crisp. I have never baked bammy before, but since we were having bammy, the least I could do was bake them. I Think I may have left them in a little too long. The package didn't say for how long or at what temp, so I went with 400 degrees and kept checking them for crispness.
They weren't bad at all. I"ll have to try this again (adjusting the temp and time).
Anybody ever soak them in pineapple juice or oven bake?
