No..to fry and then cook that down? boneded (yes, me mek up the word) will always be better.

pour off the oil

Because of the amount of chicken I used in my recipe, the oil was just right and just a little was left over to cook the seasonings in. And I didn't fry the chicken as much as 'brown til crips'
