That would be part of HISTORY®'s ("Channel") NYC edition of the Cross-County Cookout, which has been traveling to music festivals and other events since the end of May. Yes, it's all a big promotion of the channel's TV lineup—which has been transformed from a constant rotation of WWII documentaries to reality-style shows about gator wranglers—but hey: free sausage!
The star attraction, the Ultimate Smoker & Grill, can slow-smoke 2,000 pounds of meat at one time beneath its 20-foot hydraulic lid. Manning the grill will be Trace "Rib Whisperer" Arnold, a Texas restaurant owner who created the behemoth BBQ machine. On board his monstrosity will be Jalapeno & Cheddar Sausage and HISTORY Hickory Sausage, samples of which will be free to anyone on hand.
There will also be an opportunity to "ride the Gator"—think mechanical bull riding but on a reptile—a nod to the aforementioned Swamp People show, plus other swag to add clutter to your desk. The semi-trailer grill and accoutrement will be parked at the North End of Union Square at 17th Street and Park Avenue South
