if u didn't block people u would have read my post re salt fish n gungo peas stew cooked with coconut milk n spinners…. to see u keep reposting what others have gone over is amusing on one level n bewildering on another…i have to admit i continue to be intrigued by just who u are…i know where u come from in Jamaica n if i were that invested i would seek out more info but am satisfied to be bemused at n amused by u on occasion…like this one….

will u be using fresh gungo , dry or green or u using canned…..n wat sort of salt fish…our old one dat is really desiccated or the plump juicy farrin salt fish dat u still haffi get out some of the salt…it makes a difference in the cooking style….if u tell me i will tell u how i have made it over the years….u have to know that i never cooked while living in Jamaica but have learned to replicate what i liked to eat ….
Vannie I shop at belly wood so I have frozen green gungo, proper salt fish not the extremely dried out one but not the wet overly salt farrin one. I don't know what Kia have. Also you ever add okra?

if i eat it with hard food as opposed to rice, then i wi do okra on the side…… i do okra n salt fish cook up with cokenat milk
