The first order of business would be to establish a safe limit for deuterium oxide (D2O) enrichment within semiheavy water composed of regular H2O and HDO. Once that is established then the enriched semiheavy water could make its way into a number of beverages including coffee. It could be used by truckers, soldiers, and other professions in which lives and property depend alertness during extended periods of sleep deprivation.
