2 poun a raisin
1 poun a prunes
1/2 poun a currant

lawd I wass gonna a do a whole narrative on my 2nd foray into baking but now me cyaan badda..so here's a summary

I now have about 5 cakes wutta fruit mix soaking /o\
when dem seh sieve dry ingredient together..me add the sugar and de flour togedda fe sieve (neva know sugga was considered wet)
den me read de next step whey dem sey fe cream de butta and sugga togedda and had to separate the sugga and the flour

so den me stawt fe cream de egg,sugga and butta and realise me nu knoe how fe cream..i called someone they gave me directions..but seh dem neva hear of creaming egg, butta an sugga (<span style="font-style: italic">hear me to meself..dis must be a yawd ting dats why im nu knoe bout it)</span>
when me read de next step it seh fe beat de rum and egg togedda.. /o\

at dis pint me juss dump every ting eeena de mixing bowl..and mix togedda


in spite a all dat de cake nice ye see de texture inside is bit bread puddeny..so it could be a bit firmer..but de flavour..wicked

the original concept was a recipe from jamaicaneats....as my neigbour said..i invented a whole new way of baking. .dem seh de cake good doe..

yu knoe the je recipe called for the cake to be covere tightly and baked for 4 hours i never knew that some people actually make fruit cake in a more puddeny style.

yes some of them i have tasted have a slight puddeny consistency, and others more like reglah cake consistency.

eeda way mi nah guh pass up any a dem specially if wine in deh.
