Las week I went and had StE great contribution to world cuisine....

A black river cocobread... Well i bought 10 packs of doubles....

It was lovely as ever....

I think that this is one thing that unites people from ST E we associate black river with cocobread....

i always associate fish with Treasure Beach….every time we went to visit mi grandmother, as she planned to mek bammy she would send off to Treasure Beach fi fresh fish

i was down at Pedro... and discovered there is a fish shortage... over fishing.....

my fatehr refused to call it Treasure Beach and i found out why...He would say i am going to Pedro....

apparently it was Pedro before the 1930's.... and a Consumptive Canadian came to vist and built a hotel... called it treasure beach hotel.. The Govenor at the time came to stay and liked it so much he renamed the arear after the hotel.....

I also found out where Pedro came from...

I spent a day at the National Library of Jamaica....

I thought it was a separate institute... Met the boss.. She is a charming lady. Asked her to do find something out..I had planned to spend the morning in the National Gallery but it was closed.She said the first insitute was in a building by a Carnegie grant....Staff were helpful and pleasant.. I took a picture of Negro Aroused... I did see the mammary enhanced lady at Emancipation Park... Still a country man at heart...

i am asking if the IOJ is now the National Library or do they now have two separate entities…didn't explain myself well, i see….back in the day wen we needed reference material we went to IOJ….

The National Library of Jamaica is part of the IOJ and is located on East St., Kgn.
