yeah...i got jewish deli's on every corner up here....right beside the patty shop.

i HAVE eaten a pig tongue before....as i recall...it was all bumpy and warty. it was a ONE TIME thing.

the bumpy and warty thing is the part that needs to be stripped off. so, whomever gave you that pig tongue didn't really know how to prepare it. my aunt used to make it, that's how i know. [cow tongue that it, not pig tongue]

loops. bumpy and warty are two words that don't belong in any discussion on food

i fortot to add: after you boil the tongue in salt water, you soak it immediately in cold water to remove the *bumpy and warty* covering later. it peels easily. boil the tongue for about 20 minutes on high.

then you season it to your choice. i.e. cow tongue moo shoo, or sweet and sour cow tongue, jerk cow tongue, cow tongue deep fried ... well you get the idear
