crock pot pasta

tell me pls....is wat really a gwane. wat are the benefits?

my idea of using the crock pot is for lazy cooking or to have dinner cook itself and to be ready waiting wen i get home. Now pasta takes 10 mins to boil so i dont see the time saver in this....why bother with crcock pot pasta then? wat am i not getting pray tell.

I don't get it either noodles take 12 min max, but my crock pot cooking is about being lazy.

you'd be surprised. it seems to be the new rave .....

here is one recipe for mac and cheese for eg.

Directions:

1. Grease the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray.
2. Combine milk, evaporated milk, butter, eggs, and salt in slow cooker and whisk until smooth.
3. Add the Italian cheese and macaroni and sprinkle with pepper to taste -- stir gently to coat evenly.
4. Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese on top.
5. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.
6. After 30 minutes, reduce the temperature to low and cook for 1.5-2 hours, until center does not jiggle and pasta is tender.
7. Place this cheesy goodness in a bowl and eat like you've never eaten before.

mi wondering if it taste magical after the half hour dat i'd be waiting for it to cook on high mi do it normal stove top and fling it in oven and be done wid it. i may have to try one a dese recipes though before mi judge.

well here is one fi lasagna. require 4-5 slow cooker time. dem ppl ya a work wid JPS


Directions:

1. Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in frypan.
2. Add tomato sauce, tomato paste, salt and oregano.
3. Cook long enough to get it warm.
4. Spoon a layer of meat sauce onto the bottom of the slow cooker.
5. Add a double layer of uncooked lasagna noodles (break to fit) and top with cheeses.
6. Repeat with sauce, noodles and cheeses until all are used up.
7. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 5 hours.

So simple and so delicious! Enjoy.
