We had goose.....it was fine....
Wife seasoned it with jerk and other herbs... Pricked it a lot..
I put the oven shelf in the middle lined the bottom the oven with foil...put a turkey tray on the bottom of the oven... Put the bird directly on the middle shelf... Cooked for 3 1/2 hours at 180 f... I turned it down after 2 hours to 160 f..... Rested the bird under foil for 30 mins....
Then carved it in the kitchen.this is betterrather than at the table. ... The breast and the leg meet fell off..meat on a platter..
Collected bout a pint of oil in the tray..
Wife baked the par boiled dpotatoes and carrots in the bottom tray and hour before we took out the bird...
