for some reason i like baking bread....
So i decided to try a sweet bread....
250 g flour
190 ml water
100 g butter
4 g yeast
3 teaspoons of sugar demarara...
pince of salt
I went medieval with the cinnamon about 2 teaspoons...
I baked it in a non stick baking pan with olive oil...
let rise for a bout an hour
I baked it... and the smell was glorious...
took it out of the oven tried to take it out it stuck to the bottom..left about 20 %..
But it was the best bread i ever made according to daugheter.. it was brilliant.... hot...light fluffy filled with cinnamon
Repeated it the next day with baking paper.... this was a fail....it did come out of the baking tray without an issue...
Decided that i would repeat it...thought i must have used self raising flour in the original...so repeated with double the quantities... what is a risk....two baking trays
it worked well brilliant..... the first loaf i peeled the paper off but alot stuck to it......delicious...
The second loaf i peeled the paper off and it came off near perfect.... I think i have to take off the paper when it is better cooled....
On new years eve ended up in a discussion with a guy at a Hogmanay party about bread baking... wife stood in the corner shaking head!!!!!! embarassed!
