Re: What is the best food
Applepie, this is a tough one to answer as there are so many good foods I've eaten. But the meal that stands out the most for me was when I was about 10 years old, my mother made stew chicken with boiled green bananas for dinner. My younger sister and I were playing hard, running up and down in the big yard and adjacent property, sliding down hillsides after the rain, sweaty and hungry. And then our mother called us for dinner. That food has stayed with my sister and me for many years. To this day, we have a phrase we use whenever we get together to eat - we would taste the food, look up at each other and say, "Can't nicer" meaning what we are eating is no where near as delicious as that memorable dinner from our childhood.
Thanks for letting me share this food memory.
