found a caribbean market with healthy looking caribbean foods dat is not an hour drive away

Alas the shop is run by miss chin & family - i would have liked to see it owned & run by a jamaican but a so it go at times eh?


So I picked up some yam, breadfruit and tamarind balls

Breadfruit $2.87/ lb
Callaloo $1.99 /lb
Tamarind $1.29 package of 4 (they were spicy too)

What are the prices in your neck of the woods for these items?

if miss chin did have a jamaican accent she suppressed it to embrace her chinese accent

mi also find one fish mawket in the same area and mr chin nat jamaican but he did tell mi he went to jamaica for his honeymoon 17 years ago.
