yes same so mi use fi practice cooking skills and den when mi go boarding school -- 1st day a breakfast a cornmeal dem serve I are still traumatised

really? so for you that grew up in JA, cornmeal is dog food?

my mom never had any yard dogs so that is probably why she could ove cornmeal porridge and not feel away about it

No cornmeal porridge, dumpling, pudding is fine but when it come to Turn Cornmeal especially cooked with chicken in it that was dog food. My dogs ate that every single day and I was responsible for cooking it.

people do eat tun cawnmeal...it's, also, used for dawg food..when I was growing up in the &quot;country&quot; I don't even think they sold dawg food at the store.....primarily..your dogs ate food scraps

even now my cousin..prepares a big pot of cawnmeal at the start of the week..as the week progresses she adds scraps from the family meal.

the dogs get always get dem home cooked food..even if the family doesn't

So she made it only on special occasions and she added ground beef to it. I must confess, I was not a fan of Tun Canmeal, porridge of any kind or boiled cornmeal dumplings. But one thing I loved was fried boiled cornmenl dumpling - my mother used to slice it up and saute it in a little oil - which we had with breakfast.

We made cornmeal for out dogs too in the old days. Nowadays when I visit Jamaica, my mother uses Purina chow for the dogs at home which she says is cheaper than cooking cornmeal, etc.

interested parties should google polenta..there are a ton of recipies out there..some very similar to the one's we're familiar with..dem seh it's a staple in northern eyetally..more popular than pasta who knew dem nyam so much cawnmeal eena italy

there are all some utube vids showing the making of.
