I have a small collection of early american dinnerware that I mostly use as wall art. I'll take a pic to post here later. My husband started the collection before we met. I became fascinated with early american dinnerware. Turns out that my own grandmother in Jamaica, had a dinner set that her daughter, my aunt, sent her in the 1940s. 
dining room. So I just stuck our eclectic collection there.
She cursed the U.S. so much for this shortcoming that years ago on a trip to England, I brought her back porcelain handpainted egg cups. My younger JAP* sister
