I can google recipes but I'd like to hear any first had experiences if there are any.

That is a pic of kohlrabi
my granmere used to make it stuffed. If I remembeer correctly it had a slightly sweet taste so when she stuff it with beef me used to gag when she force me to eat it.Comment

had it yesterday for lunch, grated raw into an oil and cider vinegar dressing. first time i had it, it was quite nice. mi post the recipe lickle later.Comment

I've seen a couple of recipes with the middle being stuff but couldnt see how that would go
Anyway, I planted nuff of them this year and now I need to harvest the things and figure out how to eat them.Comment

Kohlrabi salad
1 tbsp safflower oil (substitute any cold pressed light tasting oil)
1 tsp cider vinegar
chives
parsley
dill
200 grams of kohlrabi
10 grapes
10 walnuts
make dressing out of oil, viegar and herbs. peel the kohlrabi and grate directly into the dressing. mix in walnuts and garnish with grapes.Comment

MGee, I havent pulled them out yet but I take it that the vegetable is on the "softer" side from say squash, etc?
I guess what I am asking is how easy is it to peel and/or grate?

once u peel off the tough outer skin, the inside has the consistency of turnip, i guess. a little bit softer than beet. dont know what happen when it get cook, though.Comment

I don't remember Sue, my Granmere has been dead now 6+ years or so. I was in late teens or bout 20. I never paid attention then to cooking or what she did
I only remember that it was suffed with beef and mebbe think is some of the leafy part on top.
