Anyway!! we are taking advantage of the weather, after church yes I said <span style="font-weight: bold">church</span> they force me to go, we doing Italian at the really nice little restaurant in town.

Going home to change, then off we go. Nice for a change as the entire family going. My Mom and stepdad, likkle bro, Granpere and his wife, myself and the Mr.

Enjoy your meal whatever you cooking, barbecuing or eating out.

I started my Daniel fast today. Fruits, veggies, water, nuts, whole grains. No salts, no sweetners.

Right now I am munching on grapes, plum, and cherries. Thinking about making some red peas soup later.

made pancakes and eggs for breakfast

brown stew chicken
macaroni and cheese
some sort of steam veg
lemonade

Pork chops and Apples with Cabbage and Onions casserole.

pork chops
neighbor's own apples from her trees
my own cabbage from my garden
sweet onions from another neighbor's garden


produce all from my immediate block

pork from a friend's farm up in Sussex county, an hour's drive from my house

milk from pig farmer's neighbor's dairy cow barn, also up in Sussex county


If not for my neighbors and friends, we'd've gone hungry tonight. But we didn't.

Tomorrow is the day I go to one local food pantry, and another for only canned and dry goods Tuesday.

Because we went away for 2 weeks camping, we missed food pantry opportunities, ans we ran a bit short mid-week this past week.

No matter. We ate, and tastily, thanks to good friends.
