scallops

k. soh dem seh yu noffi go a di liquor store when you drunk or shop when you're hungry.

i did both and ended up with a big bag of scallops . now the only thing i know what do do with them is to steam them lightly after thawing them in a bit of garlic and real butter.


do any of you seasoned cooks have any other ideas of what to do with these creepy crawlies?

o man. discovered this thing called chiccaharron (sp) it's deep fried poak. is a good ting mi mostly vegetarian in the week. but pan weekenn wih pigout (pun intended) on this deep fried poak.

dem seh pig tase the closest to human beings. my neighbourhood is in trouble.

Tanya it's columbian and i can hardly wait for friday evenings so i can go to the restaurant and buy it. mi even bunnup mi stove a mek it. dem mi haffi use di easy off, which easily took three layers of skin off my hands for the past four days.

Honey Broiled Scallops

1 lb Scallops
3 Tbsp Lime Juice
1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
1 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1/4 tsp Ginger
2 Tbsp toasted Sesame Seeds

Combine lime juice, oil, honey, soy sauce, and ginger. Add scallops and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Remove scallops from marinade, reserving marinade.

Thread scallops evenly on 4 skewers. Place skewers on shallow baking pan that has been sprayed with a non-stick coating. Broil 4 to 6 inches from source of heat 2 to 3 minutes. Turn and baste with reserved marinade and continue broiling 2 to 3 minutes or until scallops are opaque throughout. Place sesame seeds on wax paper and roll each broiled scallop skewer over the seeds to evenly coat on all sides.

that sounds lovely. what is the best cut of beef for steaks? mi like mi meat medium when it still red eena di miggle, but it seems the only way i can get it is from a restaurant. what do they use, eye of round?

I usually buy a T-bone (cheaper version of the porterhouse) ... and it MUST BE medium rare <span style="font-style: italic">(blood muss deh pon fi mi plate)</span>
