we had some of the best fried chicken EVER at a little food shop in the Black Rock area but the 2nd time we went we asked for no sauce on the chicken even though they served it with fries. I guess I am used to crunchy chicken cause it loses that for me when I eat it with the sauce.

Dont get me wrong the sauce did well nice but i just couldnt get used to it on crispy chicken

mi is a gravy person too. but mi noh like ie pan mi fry chicken. is not that often i eat the crispy fry chicken, but when i do is wan piece a nyamming mi a puddung wid di oxtail gravy pan di rice

Jamaicans usually consider fried chicken half cooked. the same with fish unless it is fryers.
or at a cold supper joint. I suppose they equate it with cold supper joint, Since anthing toy get at a cold supper joint you won't see that on the dinner menu.

say wha?? nu su atall DD...i've had plenty of traditional fried chicken made by older jamaicans..my mom even had a way of preparing it dat she called &quot;dry fry&quot; not the same as regualar frying...

jamaicans (i know) seh farrinas like fe hide dem meat unda sauce cause it nu season properly

to me it look like dem tek cook-up chicken and fry chicken..an make a fusion dish

They all prepare dry fried chicken, but not as a dinner.
Or sit down meal. Or we would hav etoo many fishbone incidents.

With the dry fried fish and the argument over the table. Not many would have survived. So they settle on using it as a snack, or means to transport it. I have had it both dry fried and with the gravy over it - Love it both ways - but I think the one with gravy over it is more of a fricasee type chicken...

Nope..everywhere I went same mad dash I had to make to my chicken

Sorry Nyla, but meats should always be eaten with a dressing.

the dressing should also include the soluble fibers required to properly metabolize food.

So although you may and the majority of <span style="font-weight: bold"> non-Jamaicans</span> think that you are saving the buildup of fats, by avoiding the primary ingredients in gravy.

It is the secondary ingredients that is ignored like they did mycobacteria, before the discovery of the microscope.

I am aluding to th efact that the exclusion of gravy in mosy people's dies is based on th ereduction of fat cells in their body.
