How to pronouce popular foods

So I go into a juice bar and boldly ordered an Acai berry drink. Mi pronouce it as A-KAY. Person behine mi stifle laff. Come to find out di berry is pronounced ah-sah-EE.

Any other proper pronunciations I should be aware of before I go embarass mi ignorant self again.

I deal wid dis every day Gungo, having immersed myself in a Hispanic Culture. ....and the accent is kinda a mixture of Native Tiwa/American/hispanic, and melodic. After a year, I'm still goofing up!

but but spanish was supposed to be easy as each word has generally 1 sound sin accento

easy? mehbe easy for some people....I'm workin on it. Jemez has the accent on the furst: Huh'-mez ...sounds anglo to me.

....and didjaknow they don't serve &quot;mexican&quot; food here, except at the tourist places?
