Every new grandchild my grandfadda held, he would give dem a spoonful of coffee mek wid condense milk. Dat was di tradition in my madda's family on dat likkle Manchester farm. Maybe das why wi turn out like dis?

When wi used to spend summer holidays in di country, mid-morning snack from Granma was fresh drawn coffee wid condense milk eena enamel mug, piece of hard dough bread, and butter an pear.

yeh we were the little dead leffs or leave gawns and my aunt's oldest sister took us all in. we had supports either in england or the united states. but we'd get a sip or two of that rat cut coffee wid di sed candense milk. then we couldn't get anymore. anyway my attention span has wondered to the point that i got dressed, put the leash on the dawg, put on some liquid eyeliner. the dawg is giving me crazy looks. then i made an egg sand... gotta go.

oh man. chawklit tea was a must for special occasions (rolleyes).

why was it ONLY for special times cause is not like the blasted thing was expensive

anyway chawklit tea and the fry dumpling and ackee

and sometimes we would get it for supper too

no I don't think I would go to JA and find chocolate covered donuts. There is a brand of donuts (plain and jelly filled) that is made there.

I usually find chocolate bars in Kingston, when I was a child there was a lot of cadbury.

other deserts/pastries are local and can be found in the patty shops or other specialty shops

Once they get use to it.
Some children get exposed to coffee before birth.

This is usually based on medical history.

I still would not recommend it though.
