sorrel too tart

how can i soften the taste of tart sorrel without packing it with more sugar? (mi already put in so much it ago turn syrup).

also, i want to lighten the red, which is too deep right now, but the only thing i know to lighten the colour of drinks is lemon. and seeing as how di ting too tart areddy, mi hoping someone can suggest an alternative.

tanya mi fraid fi add water cause the sorrel mite lose body. i cant stand watery sorrel.

mi gawn a mi bed, maybe tomorrow mi get a brainwave.

blend up some ginger into fine pulp and boil...strain the mixture into your batch of sorrel and sweeten as needed...

here's praying for you and yu sorrel. bway, those old traditions are falling by the wayside for me. i'm make sorrel in july, but not in december. i remember my aunt getting the bottle of sorrel from everyone with the rice grain a di battam a di bakkle. sigh, we've lost our way as a society.

Did it work? I think mine is too tart. My uncle said it taste good....like sorrel wine. But I would like to tone down the tartness of the rest of the batch I have left.

sorrel wine is da best...i have a 9 yo bottle somewhere...made a fresh batch to ferment...nah touch it til di next 5 yrs or so
