Excelsior Water Crackers ... cooked!

When I mentioned boiled Excelsior water crackers in the Shout Box, several <span style="text-decoration: line-through">Jafakans</span> boxers balked at the idea. Apparently they have never heard of that.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Boiled Crackers</span>

Water
XLCR crackers
Cheddar cheese, grated

Boil water. Add crackers. Boil for about two minutes. Drain. Sprinkle cheese on top. Enjoy!

NO! Yuh not to cook it to mek it too soggy! You should cook it until the edges are a little soft but the middle is firmish.

It took me a while, but I found this recipe:

<span style="font-weight: bold">Fish and Water Crackers Cook Up</span>

2½ lb fish fillet
½ tbsp salt and black pepper mixed
¾ cup water
¼ cup melted butter
¼ cup coconut milk
¼ cup onion diced
¼ cup escallion diced
½ cup sweet peppers
½ cup tomatoes diced
½ tbsp scotch bonnet pepper diced
½ cup chopped okras
1 onion sliced
1 scotch bonnet pepper diced into rings
½ bag water crackers

Preparation
1. Season outside fish with salt and black pepper
2. Allow to marinate and stuff cavity of fish with ½ seasonings.
3. In a deep skillet heat melted butter, and add fish and all ingredients.
4. Cover and allow to cook for until fish is done.
5. Add crackers atop and allow to soak.
6. Remove and serve hot.

i use fi mix syrup and put dem een deh fi soffen an nyam dem n den drink di leff ovah syrup...dat a wen mi a pickney a yaad


anybody use fi use di can soff cawn so mix wid milk n condense milk so drink..mi use fi love dat too till smaddy tell mi seh mi could ketch botulism from di unheated corn..is di almoss mash up cawn whe sweetish mi wud use

Me nuh really care fi excelsior water crackers in any form....steamed, souped, right out di bag.

Me wi eat dem if me feel peckish and nutten else nuh deh bout. But me nuh like how dem taste. Too doughy.

Now Vannie, I am open to a lot of things, but I draw the line at creamed corn and condensed milk
